Our World Then and Now Book 2– The book is divided into three Units. The first unit introduces the readers to various elements of natural and human environment. Conditions of living in different kinds of environment have also been discussed to help the readers understand the relationship of human life with environment. We have paid special attention to maps and diagrams, and made them as simple yet attractive as possible. The second unit introduces the readers to the history the medieval period in India. The aim is to give the students an overall idea of the period without weighing them down with too many dates, names of rulers, etc. The third unit is about social and political life. In this unit, the basic features of democracy have been discussed. This unit also introduces the readers to certain democratic institutions in our country such as the state government and the media.
